Hi, I'm Lachie - before you ask, it's pronounced Lockie. I'm named after a river, in case you're wondering. Not joking.

I chose to study at the University of Edinburgh without ever having set foot in Scotland. From one of the most traditional schools in the world to a country I'd never visited — my first real lesson in getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.

After graduating, I moved straight to London and have spent the past 3 years working at a variety of firms: Piper Sandler, Lazard, Astorg, and now Pictet - a series of calculated bets on the path to where I want to be.

AI fascinates me — not just the technology, but what it means for how we work, invest, and build companies. I've spent the last year going down the rabbit hole.

Outside of work, I follow a lot of sports: Chelsea religiously (in spite of its new ownership), the Baltimore Ravens, and the Golden State Warriors. I have an unhealthy Fantasy Football obsession. My mother's Australian, so the Ashes is a win-win. Sorry, not sorry. I shoot 35mm on a Canon EOS 500, ski whenever I can, and have jumped out of a plane more than once.
